THE RULES

---

• Formal attire is required.
• Proper tack is required.
• Tracing is allowed as long as all references are credited.
• Photo backgrounds are allowed but will not score as high.
• Extra images will not add points.
• Horses shown acting up or refusing will not effect the final score!
• Pre-registration is not required, but will give you an additional 1 pt toward your score and 1 pt more if you show the registration number in your entry.
• Advertising this contest with a journal/poll/art will help you gain 2 points toward your entry! (Must link advertising to gain credit).
• Open to ALL BREEDs, but purebred thoroughbreds will gain 2 pts on their score.

CLASSES

---

DAY 1:
Dressage:
• Any level or move will be accepted.
• Horses must be at least 4 years of age or older.
• Located on the main dirt track in front of the finish line.
• Morning class.

Show Jumping:
• Fences will range from 3' to 4' 6".
• Feel free to be creative with jumps.
• Horse must be shown in canter, or over fence.
• Horses must be at least 5 years of age.
• Located in the infield.
• Afternoon class.

Reining:
• Horses must be at least 5 years of age or older.
• Western tack/apparel required.
• Locating on the backstretch of the main dirt track.
• Afternoon class.

Driving:
• Horses must be at least 4 yrs old.
• The entire vehicle/driver does not have to be shown, but at least part of the vehicle should be visible.
• Located in the infield.
• Evening class.

DAY 2:
Halter:
• Horse must be shown in halter or formal bridle.
• No age requirement on horses.
• Handler does not have to be shown but will earn points.
• Located in front of the finish line on the main dirt track.
• Morning class.

Flat Racing: the "Hilltop Open Stakes"
• Any breed accepted, however, pony/draft types will loose 2 pts.
• Horses must be at least 3 years of age or older.
• Correct racing tack/silks required.
• 9 furlongs : Run on the turf track.
• Afternoon class.

Polo:
• Horses must be at least 5 yrs old.
• Each entry will be judged individually, but if we get enough entries, we will also divide into teams for a "team ranking"
• Located in the infield.
• Evening class.
